I've done the same thing (out of curiosity) and I couldn't believe how horribly expensive flights are! The cheapest way would be with Swiss Air via Zurich (255 euros) (national company would charge me some less than 300 euros and Lufthansa 750 euros!!!).
I couldn't find any low cost company that has flight to Netherlands.
So the cheapest, cheapest way would be to fly Belgrade-Cologne, Germany (about 110 euros) and then catch the fast train (only 2.30h) Cologne-Amsterdam (for about 45 euros).
150 euros for round trip Belgrade-Cologne-Amsterdam seems OK price although it would be an adventure

I could fancy the train zeddy but it's cheap for me about £60 return at the mo and it's really fast, about 45 mins. I think I will fly - I could drive but it would deffo cost more unless a few of us shared a car.

And me! Can go quite reasonably from Liverpool or Manchester

My older co-workers are trying to get me to travel to Europe since I've never been. Maybe this would be a great excuse? I just can't see myself spending the weekend in a hotel room though like the Toronto one was. It was ncie to meet everyone, but I think the last thing I would want ot do in a foreign country is sit around and discuss books!

I'll have to think about this. And check the week with my grad school calendar.

Time is flying by ... can you believe we will meet in about 3 weeks time ???? I'm so excited :-)

Is anybody arriving early ? My son and I will arrive on Thursday night and depart on Monday because the flights are cheaper then ;-)

Well I'll miss Convention but will be there week after and stay two weeks to pick up all wild released books there

I am going Friday morning and staying til Monday. I will be there with my husband, John,known as cycleman.

I will be arriving Thursday morning, with my husband. As neither of us have been to Amsterdam before we will be touristy on Thursday and Friday. I will be at the Convention Friday afternoon/early evening and all day Saturday.

Happy to meet up with other bookcrossers Thurs and/or Friday evening for dinner. We are staying near Museumplein, south of the city centre.
