Good morning. Didn't get to check in yesterday. Was playing grandma and keeping all 3 of the grands. School was out and daycare was closed, Dad stayed home from work the day before and Mom has just started a new job, so Lady (that's my grandma name) took a day off to play with them. And wow, was Lady tired when they left. 7months, 2 years, and 6 years. It's a ton of work. But it's back to work today at the hospital and hoping I can stay well.
I agree that too many of us don't know how to make basic foods. I cook alot from scratch. I don't make noodles, but do make bread and sauces. I don't buy canned soups either. Too much sodium. I grew up in the country though, where we grew our own vegetables and raised our meat. We bought basics, but most everything came from our farm. I don't garden now, but I do frequent farmer's markets!
