I was wondering if any of you wonderful readers here would be willing to help me with a project.

There are several little free libraries on the north and northwest side of the city of Chicago. most of them are always full of books. However, there is one that is located off of a large university campus in a Starbucks that is always empty. I try to leave books if I'm in the area, but one or two books looks sadder than an empty shelf...

I want to fill the LFL up completely with a range of genres to help give an idea that people should leave books as well as take books from it.

But, I currently don't have very many available books that are not reserved as VBB offerings.

Would any of y'all be willing to help me collect books for this little free library?

I recently did some cleaning and reorganizing of my bookshelves and I have a lot of free books. I will box up some and send them your way. Send me your mailing address and give me a week or so to get things together.

I don't have that many available right now that are not in VBBs but could probably send you a couple or more - have to check out my bookshelf. Send me your mailing address and I'll package them up for you!

Me, too, nim! I may not have a range of genres, but I can send a few books. I wild release here in Montreal but people are either not picking up or just not book crossing/journalling. Maybe the books will have a better chance at that LFL.

This particular little free library is a couple blocks away from DePaul University.

of the 4 I've found on the north/northwest side there is one in the Lakeview neighborhood (which I release at most often as it's right by the brown line train), this one in Lincoln Park, and two on the edge of the Humboldt Park area. the other Chicago locations that show up on the Little Free Library map are at either in the south loop or way on the south side, which is nowhere near anywhere I go regularly...

If you're still looking for more books, I am currently unloading PRACTICALLY ALL of my acquired books, so I definitely have some to spare. I'd be happy to send you something. If you think you might be able to help with shipping, I'd be able to send you LOTS. PM me if you have any specifics you'd like to request.
