I want to try out an idea, kind of a mash up of a couple of online group games I've played in. (Jamberry Uno and COYER Book Chain)
For those not familiar with Uno, it is a card game of numbers and colors that each player can play a card based on the previous card played, it can either match the color of the number of the previous card. If they don't have anything, but have a wild card, they can play that and change the color. There are other rules and mean things that can happen to players (skips, draw cards etc.) but we won't use that part.
So here's my proposal. Someone posts a book picture, the next person posts a different book that has to match some element of the first book. We'll be lenient, so it can be a word in the title, first or last name of the author, some cover element (dog, castle, flowers?), same genre, mostly blue cover something like that. Also state what the match is when you post your new book.
Our wild cards will be if the game has stalled for awhile (how long? suggestions? 1 day, 3 days, a week? what is reasonable?) someone can post any book they like to try and get things going again.
Here's a sample of what I'm thinking:
If I started with Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee

the next person could post The Girl on the Train, because there is a train on the first cover, and the word train in the title of this cover:

What do you think?
Can anyone build on The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins?

Ok...was thinking of the title...not the cover...hmmm...but there are bikes.....they have wheels like trains and are a form of transport like trains!
