The U.S. Post doesn't have surface anymore. All overseas mail goes air. It's been like that for at least a year if not more now. :erm:

ETA:
Go ahead and mark it lost, Jenn.

I sent a book to the Netherlands from the US early November. I emailed the moocher earlier last week and it still hasn't shown up. I've never had a book get lost on bookmooch so I don't know what to do next. Do I hit the "Lost" button. Will the receiver get the pts back then? Or should I try to find another copy?
I sent a book to England in early September and it wasn't deliverable. (the girl moved and gave me the old / wrong address) It didn't come back until a few days before New Years. (aside the royal mail has interesting stickers!) Anyway I'd give it a solid 2 to 2.5 months before marking it lost. Its been that long and if you are in contact with the requester go ahead and mark it lost. As for points it's what the others said.

I send out one International Mooch each week and I have never had one take more than a couple weeks since the elimination of Surface mail. I would suggest marking it lost. If it does eventually show up then the moocher can note that or you can email tech support and ask them to adjust it.

Well I know Dutch mail is mostly very reliable and I always get books from America very quick. a few days, sometimes a week

Marlene, I sent you an email via BookMooch concerning mooching a book. Did you get it?

I just joined Book Mooch yesterday. And I sent my first book today! (Same goes for PBS) I've decided to only list books that are actually on people's wishlists. Otherwise, I think I'd go crazy trying to keep up with all the places the books are listed.

PostJun 29, 2009#498

Update! It seems that the books I started with were on more wishlists on Book Mooch than PBS and I've decided to just stick with it there. People actually want my books on Book Mooch, lol. Not so much on PBS.

I can never find a book for myself on BookMooch though. It seems everyone is either saving it for someone else to mooch or it's gone so fast I never knew it was there. :(

It's funny you should say that. Ok, so first, it's not like I have the most amazing collection ever.... cause, I don't. BUT! The few books I put in my inventory disappeared so fast. I couldn't believe it. I'll probably use my BM points for exchange books and such. And I have books that I want to read that are on my wishlist and aren't "hot" right now.
