I put loads of books on there (well enough to give me one point), and did a request for a book - but nobody requested any of my books and I find it hard to get points if you understand what I mean??

I've gotten a lot this past week, too. I think it's harder for international folks because it takes more points. I have been deleting books from bookmooch because there were so many requests I could not cope with the postage anymore
