As you can no doubt tell by now, our forum has been converted over to the new ZetaBoards software we have been talking about for the last year. I realize there may be a bit of confusion as we get settled in... believe me, there's a lot of "behind the scenes" stuff to get in order first to make sure everything's working just like it was at our old home. But for the most part, all the usernames have been brought over so you should be able to log in using the same credentials you used with the old forum.

There's still lots to take care of, not least of which is getting a few new skins in place as the default one really doesn't do much for me aesthetically. (I played around with a few when we were testing this forum awhile back, but they would need to be installed again.) You'll also be able to choose the theme you prefer once we upload a few more (or suggest others you find), but that will come later. For the time being, I must concentrate on functionality over user interface.

It doesn't help that this happened during the busy season, plus I have a lot of stuff going on at home so my time is pretty limited for the next several weeks. So for that reason, it may be a few weeks before we have everything settled just like we want it, and for this delay, I apologize.

Please add any concerns or problems you have with the conversion to this thread and I'll make sure they get on the To Do list, to be handled either by myself or another admin or mod on the team. Thanks!

• search system offline - confirmed by support. a new indexing system is being developed which will significantly reduce server overhead, but no exact release date is known.
• get emails for received PMs, subscribed threads, etc. · available only in ZetaBoards Premium. Will reconsider at future date. See this post in the support forum for additional links and details.

OK... I don't know what to think yet. Visually it's OK but that's what belongs to "irrelevant" part. Will know more after I try some usual stuff.

It could just be the theme too. I find that default dark blue Zeta Original theme very difficult to work with.

I just uploaded another called Frostee and this looks like it'll be a great default one so I set it as the default for the entire board. (You can still choose your own via the Choose a theme dropdown box in the lower left corner of the screen.

I'm wondering though... for the people that are already logged in....
Did your default theme automatically update to Frostee when I switched it over in the admin? Or did it continue to use the default Zeta Original (dark blue) one?

I see what zzz is saying; no matter which skin you choose (I think being able to choose is a great option, though, Cherie, thanks!) the distinction between each post is weak. There is no bold line separating each post to give you a visual cue. It is definitely taking some getting used to.
Maybe if the header bar for each post (where your username is on the left and continuing across the top of your post) was a darker or different color?

The skin did update to Frostee.

However... I couldn't find a delete in the archive either. I don't want to archive PMs I don't need anymore, I want to delete them. Archive is nice for ones I want to keep... but not for ones I don't!

Also, how do I stay logged in? I've been here three separate times since the upgrade, and I've had to log in every time I return. The first time I was logged in, the next two... nope! And I don't see a box to check or uncheck to change that. I'll be really annoyed if I have to log in EVERY time I come here.
