I just got a random PM about the Boston Unconvention. I'm glad I did, I've been out of touch lately and it's so close to home! I'll be going, although I'm not sure which day(s).

A look at the schedule and I think I've decided to be there for Friday and Saturday. I might be around briefly on Sunday but I'm also going to be visiting some friends while up in Boston. I'm also bringing some books for trading, swapping and general give away. The goal is to come home empty handed (or as close to it as possible) and Wild Release whatever is left over from the donate pile.
Brunonia Barry, author of "The Lace Reader" has confirmed she is coming to our event. I will ship as a RABCK to someone who plans to come to the Boston UnCon, my copies of her book to read before the UnCon starts. I have one copy of "The Lace Reader" I also have two copies of the follow-up book "The Map of True Places". One is an ARC. [This book only has one character from the first book, but according to Brunonia the third book in the series will connect the two.] In any case the first three people to e-mail me (have to be coming to the UnCon) for a RABCK, I will ship them out!
Does anyone know how the trip to Salem is working? Do we arrange (drive) transportation or is there a central meeting point? Anyone know if there is a T stop that will let you leave a car for several days rather than just a single day?
I will have the organizer post details on the UnCon website. We were talking about people meeting at the hostel or meeting up at the ferry at the Aquarium. The plan is to take the ferry if it's a nice day, train if it's yucky. Several people in thr trip really know their way around and you an hang with them. It looks like it's going to be a popular event. I know you can park a car at Alewife or Wellington for days; both are at T stops so you can easily then catch the T in. You can PM me if you have additional questions.
