What have you all been doing during the quarantine? I've completely binged on "Big Bang Theory" and "Young Sheldon". I've ran out of those and started on the Marvel movies. Thank goodness for Disney Plus and Amazon Video! I've also been working on scanning old family pictures and making photo albums.

I ordered groceries on Thursday and I cannot pick up until today at Noon. I selected the curbside service. This is the first time I've ever done this and worry that I won't like substitutions, expiration dates and freshness. I am completely out of fresh fruits and potatoes, no milk, no bread and only 2 eggs. I also ordered TP and tissues though I have no real hope of getting those. I usually keep my freezer and pantry pretty well stocked so we have plenty of canned goods and frozen meat. Just need the fresh stuff. OH and I am out of Caffeine Free Diet Coke! I miss that more than the bread or milk....

I'm still working from home the next two days then it's our official spring break. I'm starting the read a thon with these two books:

Which I got from Tribefan in 2017, and which I think is a reread. It's really familiar, and I suspect something I read back in the mid 90's when I was in high school and reading a lot of westerns.

Which I got fro loriped in 2016. I'm one chapter in and don't like the attitude of the main character but that could be because this is part of a series which I haven't read any other books from.

Love all of Larry McMurtry's books even though it has been a while since reading any of them.

Jenn McKinlay writes the "Library Lovers" cozy mystery series and it is one of my favorites.

I remember devouring his books as a teenager. I was so excited to pull this out of Tribe's box of books then got about 20 pages in and started remembering the book. It's a good reread so far.

I've been reading, playing with the dogs (they are high energy and require a lot of exercise!), playing some online games and cleaning/organizing when the mood strikes (which is not as often as I feel like it should be!).  Tomorrow I go to Mewtopia to feed the rescue cats but other than that, not going out.  We are good food-wise for hopefully another two weeks before we'd have to brave the grocery store again.  And we are getting some things delivered.  Here, from what I understand, if you order groceries online for pick-up, it's at least a week until you can actually pick-up.  I have never done the order/pick-up thing and I wonder if it would just be easier (and more satisfying) to just do a quick run into the store.

This morning I finished:

And am starting:

Monday, Apr. 06, Day 1

My list of books:
(Title, Series, Author, Format, Started At, At Now)

Digital Fortress by Dan Brown, paper, 67%, 67%
Pale Demon (The Hollows #9) by Kim Harrison, audio, 22%, 22%
Fire Ice (NUMA Files #3) by Clive Cussler, ebook (library copy), 0%, 0%

I am starting with these. The goal is to finish the Brown today and make a significant dent in the Cussler. I would like to finish 6-7 books in total by the end of the week.

I went food shopping two weeks ago and really don't want to go in to another super market right now. Last Thursday I did a pick-up at a fruit/veggie place, they put together an offer for $100, total weight of the fruit and vegetables was around 92 lbs. We have enough for the next 2 weeks. I paid online and went to the warehouse, backed my car to the delivery doors and they put everything in the trunk. I had made on online order at a super market, too, (2-4 days depending which location) and got milk, yogurt, cereal and canned stuff. We are ok with TP and paper goods for now. Only thing I am running out of is meat. That is not a worry, though, I can go without for a while.

I am reading, playing games on my phone, finishing 2-3 crochet projects, and watching a lot of TV and Netflix. My trainer is also doing videoconferencing for our workout classes and Mon/Wed/Sat we all log on and do our workouts together. On one day last week we were 11 women! That was fun.

Ok, just got back from picking up groceries curbside, my first time ever. It worked pretty well. They had about 10 designated parking spots on the side of the building, a number to call on the sign, and we just backed up, Raised the back door of the car and waited. They brought it out, told me what was substituted or what they were totally out of, and that was it.
They had most everything on my list. However, they were out of Caffeine Free Diet Coke (eekkkkkkkkkkkkkk), 40 or 45 calorie bread, clean & clear fabric softener sheets, and sanitizing wipes. I did however, score some Kleenex and 20 rolls of toilet paper! We may have to just brave it and go to the store for the Diet Coke and bread. Other stuff I can do without for a while.
My husband read online how to sanitize boxes, bags, etc. So he is busy doing that now.

For the stuff you didn't get, do you just get a credit back on your credit card or is the bill adjusted for the correct amount and you're just billed that?  just curious ...  it may vary by store too I think.

Yes, they didn't charge me for anything until pickup and so I was not charged for the stuff I didn't get. They gave me sale prices and everything!
