Kiri, I laughed when I read your post about the book description. One of my fave things is to read those and make comments, especially when they’re silly or ridiculous.  :giggle:

Kathy, I agree completely about the “Audible Originals.” The first few months had good selections. Now, not so much. I’m hoping the mystery one is good.
Ps. You should have received email about your audible prize.

I need to find books for this month’s Hooked-on-Books challenge. I would like to start on Monday and I entered the challenge with two books but have not found anything suitable... yet. :)

I made up the challenge and then had a hard time finding books also, lol. Just read things that you enjoy. I have an audio that my daughter got about trees and tried to listen to it, but it just didn't do it for me.  (My daughter and I share households on Amazon and Audible)

Speaking of the challenge on HOB - do you have any ideas for themes?

Well I’m  just over 3/4 of the way through the marie antionette book.  Its interesting, even if she goes off on general history tangents.  I started listening to graphic audio items on Thursday.  So farIve completed Rogue Angel 1-4.

Ill come back with pics and etc for a summary post (if needed) of all things read when i get to the computer.

Happy Moms day everyone!

Elengil and I finally finished The Knife of Dreams audiobook. Next audio up will be the Gathering Storm which starts the Robert Jordan/Brandon Sanderson books. And onto the last three books in the series!  We've been listening to this since September or October of last year!

I listened to about 3 hours of the "Mystwick School of Musicraft" and it is very enjoyable so far. It was a freebe on Audible this month so I was skeptical, but it is well done and so far a good YA fantasy. I think my granddaughters would love it. I watched "Spiderman Far From Home" today. That was the last of my Marvel list, but "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." has one more season and so I'm going to start watching it. Agents has been my favorite of all the Marvel TV series. I can't decide between DC movies or Star Trek movies for my next binge watch.

All my kids called or texted today. I played phone tag all day with my daughter that lives in Washington state and never got to talk to her, but she sent flowers that I got yesterday. I got some Amazon gift cards and a promise of "something that should be delivered this week" from two of my boys. No telling what that surprise will be, lol. I don't know if I've ever said, but I have 5 children - 3 boys,  2 girls - 1 daughter-in-law, 2 sons-in-law, 2 granddaughters and 2 grandsons. I still look back at my life and can't believe that at one time, I had 5 children under the age of 10. I don't know how we all survived!

Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms!

I’m going to cheat with one book, it’s called ‘Christmas in Eternity Springs’ and I know that’s not the ‘Spring’ in the challenge but it’s as close as I’ll get  and I’ll choose a second one sometime Monday when I’m wide awake.

Ideas... I’ll work on it and get back to you by Friday!

I’ll do my final update in the morning, I’m too tired to concentrate now.

On Saturday I watched ‘Superman’. I’ve seen it so many times but it was on TV and it reminded me of when I was little and we’d watch it with my cousins. Back then we only had 2 channels and we’d look forward to the Friday night movie.

That is not cheating at all! Like I said in the description - books that make you happy. That's why I'm reading some children's books. They almost always have a happy ending. :)
