Is it ok to use a book that is not the first in a series? Even if it is later like 5th or 6th? I read a lot of good cozies, but they are not always the first one.

Of course! We are all usually reading the same series so someone may need a later book. You can also offer to send the first (or second...) in the series instead if they haven't gotten that far yet?
