But azuki pointed out that her books are actually from the beginning of July. The filter seems to be by date (i.e., her books were from July 4, so Jan. 3 they began appearing on the filter). But is there a grace period that she doesn't need to mail them until the end of January? Should I be checking the dates of the books of the people that show up on the filter?

Sorry didn't see this till now. I haven't created a January list but I guess I will now. Anyway, when I use the 6 month filter I only use the 1st of the month on back. So nothing past July 1st.
