Kiri - I like #2, reminds me of peacock feathers.

Kathy - Yikes!  A trip to the ER is never fun.  Glad your husband is doing better.
I haven't read any Ray Bradbury in a very long time.  May have to reread those again.

Lemmy - Yes, Rin Tin Tin (the first) starred in silent movies in the 1920's.  Rin Tin Tin (the third) was in a TV series in the 1950's.

My tea came yesterday. Can't wait to try some.

I'm still trying to finish Bound South and The Rosie Project. I'm probably not going to make it on Rosie because my library loan expires today.  Glad your husband is ok, I'm surprised the hospital allowed you with him. The one where I work only allows an essential visitor in the ER with children, or patients who cannot make competent decisions. And our visiting rules are very strict for admitted patients. only 1 visitor per day between noon and 7pm.  We do make some exceptions at end of life. It's really hard on families and patients alike.  COVID-19 is a bitch.
I guess since he was just dehydrated and not contagious, they let me stay. They even brought me a roll-away bed to sleep on.
Well, my grandmother and brother in law were both hospitalized in recent weeks, one in Hong Kong and one in Florida, and neither were allowed visitors, unless the doctors thought that the life is hanging on a thread. So not allowing visitors end up something we feel happy for.  My husband had to drop off his brother in law at the entrance of the hospital and then they put him in a wheelchair.

Also, very weird rule. When my BIL was first admitted to the hospital, they asked if he was tested for CoVid. Well, he had been unwell for weeks so he was never out and hence not tested.  I didn't even go visit him as I still work and therefore may bring him the virus. ANyway, as he was not tested, they put him in the CoVid ward, did a test, and then transferred him when he tested negative.  I understand the hospital doesn't want to put someone infected with CoVid in the ordinary ward, but that seems to put the incoming patients at unnecessary risk. And what happens if he catches CoVid while waiting for test result?

I like #2 and 3. Personally I won't get #4 because I don't know how the pattern will be cut and I don't want to end up with a big octupus on my mouth...

Not sure if we are helping you narrow down the choice... seeing that we all have different opinions.  :giggle:

If I had left, I could not return. So if anyone else wanted to visit him, I would not have been able to return. I have 5 children and they all wanted to come, but they stayed away and Steve and I have put ourselves in self-quarantine for the next 2 weeks.

The testing thing for your BIL does seem odd. Why put someone in the Covid ward unless you KNOW they have Covid?

Kiri, I like #1

Kathy, I’m very glad your husband is ok

Meshe, in 2 days I will be renewing my library book for the 3rd time, I totally understand not finishing on time

Azuki, I agree, more emergency books are needed! I have 2 ebooks and at least 4-5 audios on my phone. Must now stash a paper book in the car.

Dancing-dog, I had heard the name Rin Tin Tin but never knew it was a dog

Nimrodiel, I am going to look for the Robyn Carr books, I don’t think I’ve read any by her

I hope I didn’t miss anything, I’ll go back and reread posts in the next couple of days.

I am 65% done listening to 10 Things I Hate About Pinky by Sandhya Menon. I love her books! This one is #3 in the Dimple & Rishi series.

This Thursday, Oct. 4, they will be shutting down restaurants, bars, libraries, and other places, and we will not be allowed to go to anyone’s home for the next 28 days. They’re calling it red level and the cases are spiking again. More news as soon as I know it. Sigh.

I just wild released my copies, otherwise I would have sent them to you.
