Since I've joined in a few exchanges guess I best post here. I'm very down to earth and easily thrilled with simple things.

Food: Just about anything, love to cook and love new recipes. I use a lot of herbs and spices in my cooking. Don't eat a lot of snacks, no chips, pretzles, nothing crunchy. I love to try different regional honeys!

candy: Chocolate , peppermint or other mint gum, good caramels. Do not like gummy candies, red licorice, jelly beans, gumdrops etc.

drinks: tea loose or bagged, coffee, hot cocoa (especially individual packs to take to the office)

colors: earth tones, greens, browns, yellow, plum

music: classic rock, new age, jazz, classical

scent: lavender, lemon, rose geranium, spicy, honeysuckle, tuberrose, bamboo, tea, herbal, vetiver, patchouli, some sugar cookie and other baking scents in candles

playthings: anything pug related , anything garden/botanical related, garden seeds, pottery, kitchen gadgets, candles, handmade soaps, lotions, potions etc, notecards/stationary, BC labels, fairies, blank journals, hummingbirds, sea glass and small pretty stones, tote bags (love the colorful ones stores are now selling with their own logos for a buck or two at the check out lanes!), colored glass bottles. Little odd things for on my desk to play with when I get bored or frustrated at work.

hobbies: reading (duh), my dogs, pugs in general, gardening, cooking, herbs, birding, I collect pottery(mugs, pots, odds and ends) and tea related items (pots, infusers, tins etc).

Favorite genres of books: mystery/thriller, armchair travel, cookbooks(especially ethnic or baking books) and books about food/cooking in general, non-fiction, gardening/herbals, popular fiction, current event fiction/non-fiction, animals, nature, health/healing

Any allergies that we should know about or strong dislikes?
Do not like lapsang soochong or other "smokey" teas, do not wear earrings or bracelets, do not usually read romances or science fiction/fantasy. Do not like candies that stick to my teeth or are gooey (except for caramels)

Do you have:
A Significant Other: My soulmate, lover and best friend, Greg. He is a former biker/hippie/love child, very down to earth and spiritual. He's a stamp collector, and his interests pretty well match mine except that he is not much of a reader.

Children: only the furry ones, thank god!

Pets: Max our 11 year old lab/shepard/collie mix and Rocco our 4 1/2 year old pug

Book Wishlist: http://www.bookcrossing.com/wishlist/oi-reader/

Other: I try to be as organic/green as possible in my life, and love things people make themselves. I am NOT crafty as a rule, but have recently started making a mosiac birdbath and am looking for additional sea glass and small stones. Also I have dabbled in paper arts, specifically note cards and bookmarks made with dried flowers/herbs from the garden. I collect colored glass , especially bottles, and have a fondness for tote bags with obscure logos. Small handmade things thrill me, and I love getting suprises in the mail :) Greg is a stamp collector and would love postcards from around the world.
I am officially a breast cancer fighter/survivor. Any small token of the power of pink from other regions of the US and worldwide would be appreciated.
