New Info - Please read
This is list populated based on whether a person's name appears on the 6 month list at any time up to August 1st (6 months ago from 2/1/09). Please check the database to see what books specifically are owed and post here if you send out all of your commitments before the month's end.

If you have a Zoho id:
Please update the database as needed to reflect any changes. If you mail all of your 6 month outstanding books before the end of the month, please post here so that one of the mods can remove your name from the list. You need only post here once all of the books are mailed, not each time you mail a book.

If you do not have a Zoho id:
Please post here when you mail out a book so that one of the Zoho mods can update the database. If you mail out books multiple times, please don’t make a new post each time. Just edit your original post. The mods may delete your posts after the next month’s list is posted to keep the thread from becoming confusing or unwieldy. We’d like to keep this thread as clean as possible.

Note: Cherie fixed the 6 month filter! :bananadance: Now, under the owed books tab, there is a drop down menu that has 6 month view. Select that and you will see the 6 month filter, current to that particular day. You can still see just the books owed by you by selecting your name from the filter list.

We're hoping this method will be easier on everyone involved but if there are questions please let us know!

I was just looking at this, and isn't it a bit strange that twiggywig is on the list

Err I think Fantasy either wasn't paying attention or forgot. I'll remove her.

I actually wasn't paying attention AND forgot. Thanks Cheesy

I also want to go through and update the inactive list but that will have to wait as I am suddenly swamped with work.

Having mailed books to tranq1 and nikel27, I believe I am redeemed for the moment. The book I've owed for the longest is dated 06 October 2008, so I should have until early April to get that one mailed out before I wind up on the "being naughty" list again.

Cheesy,
Can you please explain what the difference is between the "active" list and "non-active"?? Why would anyone that is on the list still be playing in the swaps and exchanges at all? I truly don't understand this.

Have the Bobs people in charge ever considered that 6 months may be too long a time to wait? Maybe 3 months would make it less a chance of the players here getting ripped off? Just a thought.

I'm not cheesy, but I'll pretend to be for now! ;)

Active members are those who do still visit the site. They may participate in chat, or they may be in contact with other members here, or we may just know from when they were last here that they do visit the site. Active does NOT mean that they are participating in swaps, VBB's, relays, or exchanges.

Non-active members are those who seem to have left us. They no longer stop in to chat and are not in contact with anyone here (that the mods are aware of). These are the people we expect will not ever make good on their owed books, though occasionally someone returns and happily surprises us!

As fantasy mentioned in an earlier post, we haven't updated the active/non-active recently - we've been discussing at what point we want to consider someone non-active - so there are a few names on the active list that will move to the non-active when we have time to take a closer look.

No one on either list is allowed to participate in swaps, VBB's, relays, exchanges, etc.

And - this is probably before you joined - but the 6 month timeframe was determined by majority vote of our members here. 3 months was considered at the time and most people felt that was too short. Really, when you look at the number of books we share around in the various ways we do, there aren't that many books that never make it to the intended recipient. 6 months is working well when you look at the whole picture. That said, if our membership wanted to change that, we could certainly do so, but it would not be done without majority member vote indicating members want that.

Hope that answers everything for you! :)

Just wanted to touch base -- the book I owe zzz and am on this list for. The copy I ordered to replace the one that went missing I lost (not the post lost) has arrived and it is wrapped and ready to go. It will be going in the post first thing Monday morning. If you'd like, I'll post in here again when that is done.
