But why? I don't see why it's a bad thing to have books on my shelf that were registered by other people. Once they come to me, they're mine to decide what to do with. I could add them to my permanent collection or even shred them if I wished.

But, I know it's fun to see that a book I have journaled has reached someone else, so I will try to keep these books moving along. I am not setting any goals to reduce the number of books registered by others. I am not going to focus on reading those books before any books that I have purchased and registered.

@ Elsi - that's how I feel about it really - I've passed on and/or wildreleased a lot more than I have here, but I do have a ridiculous amount of books and what annoys me is that I really WANT to read them all!!

Crossed a couple more off my list in the last few days, so have made quite good progress so far this year (although I;m not looking at the books I've received already this year )

However, I now need to spend much more time studying rather than reading for pleasure, so I think my progress may stall for a while. I've been pretending that I can get by doing less study, but have to face the fact that I need to get my head down. I will still be reading, but in French (and I haven't included my French books on my list). Next up is the first Harry Potter in French!

I'm sure I'll still get some read from time to time when my brain needs a rest, but I have to prioritise for a while.
