Still reading The Tea House on Mulberry Street.  This author's style reminds me of Maeve Binchy.

Our boil water advisory has finally been rescinded - yay!  And, our trash finally got picked up - they missed last week due to the snow.  Back to normal (I hope).

I'm so sorry I have been MIA for the whole of this RAT. I have hardly read anything because I am constantly on the phone or on zoom or running around doing errands. I am the only one from my house that is going out and doing everything. Each night I say I'll come in and say hi, do an update, tell you all what is happening, and each night I crash on the sofa and look at facebook and words with friends, and then do nothing else.

I did manage to finish the 10th book in the Kris Longknife sci-fi series, but if it wasn't audio, I probably wouldn't have. Stargazer is also audio, and a short children's book, too. I read only 10% of Fred, and I'm hoping I can concentrate enough today until Sunday to start and finish Brave New World.

The volunteer group I belong to, the one where we do the Valentine's Balls (which of course was cancelled this year) is still holding zoom meetings and socials for all the members and we are also doing some webinars with speakers from Greece who are presenting historical and educational talks for the Greek community here in Montreal.
In May we will be having elections again and I think I am going to run for president of the Montreal chapter. I don't have the rental property any more and so I will have time to devote to the chapter, at least for the coming 'year'.

My family has been following the weather in Canada and the US and it's all my parents talk about. They saw the snow storm videos and pictures that the news, weather channels, and people on facebook have been sharing. I am glad that things are going back to normal, temps are warming up, electricity is back, and that you are all safe and OK.

As for the COVID vaccine, here they are starting to schedule appointments as of yesterday, and that is for people 85 years old and over. It is very slow going and the population is quite agitated at the way everything has been handled. My parents are 76 and 70, so they will be in the third round of appointments. I have no idea when I will be allowed to get mine.

I think that's about it for my updates. I hope everyone is having a nice day!

Remember - tomorrow is the last day of the Read-a-Thon and the day for the theme prize give-away. Be sure and list any books you finished during the RAT on the spreadsheet and indicate if the book fits the theme.

My address is still the same as in the Google Doc.

I've finished 2 more books and will probably finish 2 others by tomorrows end of RAT
All American Boys by Jason Reynolds and Long Way Gone by Charles Martin  both very good and so very different.
I'm reading Love Lettering by Kate Clayborn, it's a sweet love story and enjoyable and My Grandmother asked me to tell you she's sorry by Frederik Backman and it's quirky and a good read.
