Drops into say.. A Big THANK YOU and shout out to Kathy, who signed on as Co-host, and due to the board problems has ended up hosting this all by herself.    She's done an amazing job.

*applause*

*Bows*  Was not all by myself, you did an amazing job considering the glitches Tap-a-talk threw at you!

I finished listening to "Pumpkin Spice Peril". It was pretty predictable, but I did enjoy it. I started listening to "Whiskey in a Teacup" by Reese Witherspoon. A nice little memoir. She reads it herself so that is an added bonus.

Finished another quick memoir last night "If You Ask Me" by Betty White. Audible had a sale last week and of course I could not resist.

Next, I will listen to my prize from this RAT - "Bitter Blood"

Just finished The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue and totally love it.  One of my best books of the year. It's about a young woman who made a bargain with devil to live freely. The devil gives her immortality with the catch that nobody will remember her.

I have this one on my wish list. I heard VE Schwab speak at a library conference a few years ago and she was awesome.

Minor Announcement.   Due to the board issues* for now, the next RAT (New Years - 26 Dec to 15 Jan)  is not happening.  Should the issues get fixed, I'll come and host it.  Right now it's impossible (for me and a few others) with the board not behaving, and that makes it difficult for everyone.

*Cherie and Cheesy know and are working on it, but it isn't fixed yet.    I'm wishing them a lot of luck. =)

and then a mini update..

I've been semi trcking my reading on the spreadhseet. *hopes the link is here somewhere*  mostly my reading is late at night and when I can't sleep atm.   I need to update it tho.    Right now I don't have anything spectacular to let everyone know about.. I don't even have a best of for this year yet.

I'd like to annnounce - to no ones surprise - that migraines suck.  I have rolling ones and this one has lasted 5 days so far.   If I throw up one more time I"m going to figure out a way to strangle it.   :)  otoh they aren't as painful as when I was a kid, those were awful.  (fwiw I managed to not have them from pubert until peri-menopause.. so that's something.. right? )

I"m going to look for that The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue. sounds interesting

I fell down on reading this RaT due to the Cyberpunk release and the end of the semester and the week before Christmas break. I did finish Testament yesterday
