Books Out Of Play This Round

PostDec 03, 2009#2

The Rules:

(1) I will post a list of books and the order of the box participants on the first of every other month.

(2) Each person may take as many books out of the box as they want; however, you must put in the same number of books. This means that you may be responsible for shipping the number of books that you have put in. You control how many books you are willing to ship by only taking out/putting in that number of books.

(3) You can choose to skip your turn by not taking any books out of the box and passing the turn on to the next person.

(4) Books that qualify for this bookbox are fiction, biographies, memoirs and travelogues set in Africa, Asia, Latin America or the Middle East or based on the experiences of immigrants from those locations. In essence, this vbb is meant to open doors to new cultural experiences. :D

(5) All books must be mailed within 6 months of when they are chosen and the data should be updated on owedbooks.bookobsessed.com.

(6) Any books not taken after 3 rounds will be replaced by the person who put the book in. (Asterisks are used to indicate how many rounds a book has been in the bookbox.)

(7) You have 48 hours from the time the person before you posts their move in the thread to make your move. If you haven't made your move in that amount of time, you will be moved to the end of the list.

(8) New participants are welcome and can join at any time!

(9) The list of participants will be randomized every three rounds.

(10) Once you have chosen your books, please PM your address to the person whose books you have chosen.

(11) Once you've taken your turn, please PM the next person to let them know it's their turn. If you can't PM them for some reason, please say so when you post your move, so someone else can!

When I was updating this, I realized that bartonz has a book that should have been replaced last round. I'll follow up with her and see if she can replace it now.

Enjoy the travels. I'm e-mailing azuki now. :)
