I listed 25 books at both PBS and BookMooch and every one that has been taken so far has been at BookMooch -- resulting in a large credit pool there. BUT, as luck would have it, a wishlist book has popped up at PBS and it's reserved for me. Problem is that I don't have any credits.

Would someone be willing to swap a PBS credit for a BookMooch one? Or lend me a PBS credit?

I can lend you a credit Elsi. I am only on PBS.

Thank you so much. As soon as one of my offered books is taken, I'll return the credit to you! You're a gem!

That is the same problem that I have. I list books on both sites but they are more often taken on BookMooch. I currently have 165 points at BookMooch and 1 credit at PBS. lol I only use PBS for wishlist books, but still it would be nice to have more credits. I suppose that it has to do with the FIFO rule on PBS as compared to the fact that folks can choose who they mooch from on BookMooch. I mail out at least 10 books a week via BookMooch! Of course I get a lot more books from my wishlist on BookMooch as well since I check the site quite frequently. So I guess it works out in the end.

Oops! Only seeing this now as I haven't popped in here recently. I am only on PBS and have tons of credits on there. If his ever comes up again, please send me an email or pm through PBS directly and I can send over a credit. I'd hate to see a wishlist book missed because of no credit!

Thanks very much! I used the credit that Lizabeth86 lent to me and the book arrived in the mail on Saturday. I registered it and now just need to schedule it into my TBR rotation! I'm sure it will show up offered in the Mystery VBB (or maybe the Everybook VBB) some time in the near future.

4 more books were taken at BookMooch. I don't know why it is that the books are moving at BookMooch (where I now have 20 credits) and not at PBS.

Because people can choose who they mooch from. If you have a good mooch record you are likely to get mooches before others do. I currently have 11 books that need to be mailed out on BookMooch. All of these same books were listed on PBS at the same time, but I get mooches long before I get requests from PBS. Sometimes I feel like I need to put my BookMooch account on vacation to get folks to stop mooching long enough to get caught up on mailing.

I only list books at BookMooch and PBS if they've been passed over at least twice here at BookObsessed -- and if I have already read them. I'm willing to play with TBR books and sometimes put unread books in the VBBs to help me make a decision on what I will read next. If a book isn't taken, I might not read it for a long, long time.

That is the funny thing. I never list any of the 'good' books on PBS or Bookmooch. I save them all for here. The books that I do list there are books that I pick up at thrift stores or yard sales or stuff. So I am always surprised at how many get mooched.

I also think BookMooch has so much more activity because they give away credits for listing books. 1 credit for 10 books. That means people have more credits to play with.
