Oh! Thanks for the input Elsi!

Staying overnight somewhere else would work out expensive for us as we have the hotel in New York booked for our whole stay.

I didn't think of Boston as an option. Can we do that with the train too?

Thanks again for the info!

I am there on the 5th to the 12th. Would be great if anyone has any tips...will be around etc

Maybe someone can give me some advice about maybe visiting another city for the day? Is it possible to go to Philadelphia for the day on the train for instance?
Pooop again. We arrive in NY on the 14th. I really haven't planned this trip very well.
Would be funny to have two British Bookcrossers, with one who lives in Austria, actually meet-up in New York ;)

It's so funny how we are all missing each other by mere days... We couldn't have done better if we were to plan so intentionally... We can do a BO relay, I suppose...

But I'd be happy to talk to you via email about things to do/places to stay/places to eat/etc. if you tell me what you're interested in. I've lived here for over a decade, so I have some good info at this point.
Take Joanna up on this. She gave me some suggestions for my trip to NYC and we ended up at a delicious pizza place that I've recommended to other people since then! :)

You've moved?? But you were the only reason I was going there. May as well stay at home now.

Seriously though, it is a shame we won't be able to meet up, but hopefully I will do so with tobysrus. It would be good to meet some bc/bo members.

I know it's a long way for you now but I really do think you should come and show me round.
