Well that looks interesting. Interested to hear when you done what you thought. I've dome editing and reviews for publishing houses, and radio / books for the blind - but never audio reviews for publishers. How does that work? NetGalley has started offering audiobooks for review. I got involved with NetGalley when I was a working librarian, but since I've retired, I still qualify for books for review. I usually go to the website and pick which ones I want to review, but sometimes they just send them to me. I have filled out a form that tells what kind of books I am most interested in. I think librarians, bloggers, Goodreads reviews, etc. I think most anything counts.
I realized that I haven't updated here in a while. I finished "Writers of the Future" - several really good short stories by new authors. It is a contest held every year and they really select some very good stories.
I also finished another audiobook for review.![]()
This was one of the best Children's books I had listened to in a long time.
I tried![]()
but did not like it. I didn't like the main character and I didn't like the narrator, so I didn't finish this one. When I do that, I just sent the publisher a note telling them why.

Donna Andrews 33rd book in the Meg Langslow Mystery series. I like the book, but do not care for the narrator. I will probably finish it in the next day or so and will get back to ![]()

It is hot and humid in Montreal this week which makes it difficult to do things. There was a smog warning, a heat warning, and a thunderstorm watch. We can't really plan anything because no-one knows what will happen weather wise.
I finished Heart Stings, Lassiter, and The Bookshop of Second Chances, but I haven't listened to any of Demons of Good and Evil yet. Most probably I'll start tomorrow night. I also want to choose a physical book to read. I have a few in piles and I would like to start moving them out of the house.
