For Azuki, I pick The White Bone -- I love elephants!
For tpdx I choose Joe Hill: A Biographical novel. I chose this because it looks a very interesting story.

I finished it yesterday. I think I enjoyed it a little more than Lament. I wish she'd go back to this series and write Requiem. It's been 10 years so I doubt it. The last post I saw where she was working on it was 2013.shaunesay wrote:For Cheesy I'm choosing Ballad, I've read the first one and want to see what you think of the second one!
And I’m done! Sped right through this one. Once again, a fun read. There is always something serious going on but there’s enough humor and background to make it balanced. This one had a couple of things that produced big eye rolls from me but it didn’t ruin the story. I’m glad I read it.Lemonitsa wrote:You have no idea how true for me this is right now!dancing-dog wrote: For Lemmy I'm picking Ladies' Night by Mary Kay Andrews because well, we all need a ladies' night! Also I've read this author before and her books are a fun read.

And I agree, her books are fun to read. I picked one up at the pharmacy one time, and since then I check out what she publishes.
Thanks for choosing this one
With that, I’m proud to say that I’m completely caught up in the Pick-it-for-Me! Will wait for October now

I finally finished Joe Hill. I can’t put my finger on why I had such a hard time getting through it. This was early Stegner and I don’t think he had quite hit his stride yet.teachie wrote: ↑Aug 31, 2019For tpdx I choose Joe Hill: A Biographical novel.
