E and I finished listening to Broken Angels by Richard K. Morgan. It's the second book on the Altered Carbon trilogy and just as good as the first book.

How long is this RAT going to be? (Not complaining, just wondering :))

I finished the Great Courses "Ancient Civilizations of North America" this morning. Steve & I started this one back in April when were on vacation, but I let him finish it first and I forgot about it. I realized the other day that I only had a couple of hours left and Steve was done with it, so I finished it up. Back to listening to "Secret Token"

We were basically planning on keeping baby watch for two weeks -- the week before due date and the week after. Since Emily Lynne arrived more or less on time and it's been a week since she made her debut, we can wrap up. I say we go to Sunday just to give folks the chance to finish up what they're currently in, and I'll start drawing prize winners :D
Today's winner is:   DANCING-DOG

BTW, I have been a terrible hostess and largely failed at checking in daily. My work schedule has been so busy! It seems like everyone else went on vacation and I ended up working a LOT.

I'm just about to finish up Seige Tactics by Drew Hayes (book 4 in the Spells, Swords, & Stealth series). Also, I'm only 2 chapters away from finishing Magician's Nephew with my son. We are going to see the stage play on Saturday this week with my mother at Chemainus Theatre.

Narrator/lecturer for "Ancient Civilizations" was really good. Probably one of the best Great Courses I've listened to that was History and not Literature related. I'm really liking "Secret Token" because I've always been interested in the Roanoke Island story and I'm finally getting to go there in September.

I finally finished the book I have been reading on my iPhone for months now. I usually only read on it when I get caught out somewhere I have to wait and don't have anything to do. "Another Saturday Night and I Ain't Got No Body" - combination Cozy Mystery and Romance was a pretty good little read, but not something I'd go out of my way to get. I think it was a freebe. Oh forgot this comment so am editing - she should not write about World of Warcraft if she doesn't really know anything about the game.

:bounce:   Yay, I’m a winner!   :stars:   Will head over to prize page after this.  Thank you!

Listening to The Store by James Patterson & Richard DiLallo in the car - about half way through and it’s better than I though it’d be.

Reading A Bone to Pick (Aurora Teagarden #2) by Charlaine Harris.  Have haphazardly read this series and haven’t read the early ones.

(On my iPad & haven’t figured out an easy way to do pictures yet)

Took a break from my ancient civilizations listening. They are very similar and I don't want to overlap the two books so I listened to "You're Going to Mars". Why do they portray some teens and twentysomethings as being the dumbest people on the planet? Overall, a good listen if you can overlook some of the dumb behavior.
