Okay, so now that the polls are over (yay! ), and the dust has settled, we have emerged from the ashes in true Phoenix-like fashion, with our new name!

We are now BookObsessed.
And the new URL to our forum is http://BookObsessed.com

Though the backup URL of z14.invisionfree.com/Temporary_Bookrelay/ will continue to work for awhile, we'd like everyone to get comfortable using the new name. So bookmark it, memorize it, tattoo it on your forehead, whatever you wanna do... (Then hopefully, we can eventually convert the backup URL from Temporary_Bookrelay to Bookobsessed as well.)


PS - I was giving some thought to grabbing an alternate spelling or two, just in case of typos, that'll forward automatically. One in particular that I was thinking of is bookobsesed.com (with one s at the end instead of two). LMK if you think this is a good idea. And if so, perhaps we could accept a few donations towards that. Otherwise, no worries... and we'll just tell everyone learn to spell it right the first time or else....

actually that's even better! Thanks Ri! I can see people doing it this way a lot more than the two single s's actually.

I remembered people making a few comments about spelling it right in the voting thread, and so long as we don't need to get like 5 domains to cover all the possiblities, I do think having at least one or two alternate spellings would be a good idea...

Yes! That's how I get it wrong.

Y'know, if you buy the misspelled domain names, people will never learn how to spell obsessed...

They'll think they're spelling it right, 'cause it's taking them here... and it will be wrong. And they'll go on spelling it wrong for the rest of their lives.

It'll be like the backwards "R" in Toys 'R' Us that makes so many teachers mad because it's confusing young children who are having enough trouble learning to make the letter the correct way.

It will start a plethora of problems... and it'll all be Cherie's fault!

Actually, I'd have it just redirect to the correct spelling, but I see what you're saying. Too bad there wasn't a way I could track *who* was spelling it wrong, and even though they're redirected to the right place, we could all send 'em whippings and some Hooked on Phonics tapes!

I'm with Pepper, Cherie! The ex-English teacher in me would go nuts at the thought of all that incorrect spelling being 'condoned'!

'Course... I'm so OCD about it, I was considering asking me if they'd like me to correct the grammar in the signs they'd put up at my gym asking us to keep shower times to a minimum (we're on water restrictions here!). The lack of a comma in the notice quite ruined my - less than 5 minute long - shower!

Sad... I know....

Anyway - just my two cents worth.

I'm just wondering, do we really need to spend the money on alternate domains or should we just save the money to go towards upgrades and such? Just my opinion.
