I see a bar under most people's name that has two colors, orange and blue, and was wondering what it was for. I have a guess that it shows your progress to the next level of obsession but am not sure. Thanx in advance.

That appears to be it. I took a quick look around. Apparently it gets to its maximum length once someone has posted 1,000 messages or so.
